Recently an event took place in Jame’ Masjid of Leicester. This event was titled “Challenges of living as Muslims” and it discussed topics related to the challenges we face today for a variety of reasons. Alhumdulillah, the event was recorded and I found it to be very beneficial. However, I have only managed to get hold of the recording for the first part of the event. Insha Allah, I will try and get hold of the second part as the speakers were our respected and experienced ‘Ulamaa, who enlightened us with their words of wisdom, experience and sound knowledge. May Allah accept the efforts of everyone who was envolved in this event and who took part. And also make it a means for change in the Muslim community. Aameen.

I was just wondering is the famous Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari part of your Madrasa/Darul Uloom? He gives lectures all around the country. Was he not present ot give a lecture?

7. zain - February 17, 2007

As Salaamu Alaykum,

Mufti Muhammad is a part of the Darul Uloom and one of my respected teachers. He was not available to give a talk but Alhumdulillah, both his elder brothers, also my respected teachers, blessed the gathering with their presence and thought provoking talks.
