It is from man’s nature to love and desire even if it be for worldly material. However, if his love and desire for this world increase and is above the love of Allah and His Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه و سلم then this is not permissible and is classified as disobedience. Allah states in the Qur’an: “Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwelling in which you delight are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger (صلي الله عليه و سلم) and striving hard and fighting in His cause, then wait until Allah brings about His decision (torment). And Allah guides not the people who are disobedient.”

[Surah at-Towbah – 9:24]

Therefore it is necessary to create the love of Allah Ta’ala and His Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم in our hearts, and a further necessity to ascertain that love is greater than the love of anything else. If we love Allah Ta’ala then it is necessary that we follow the Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم and create love for him in both our faith and practice. Allah States: “Say (O Muhammad صلي الله عليه و سلم): “If you truly love Allah then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins.”

[Surah Aal-e-Imraan – 3:31]

Our faith in Allah is incomplete if the love for our Beloved صلي الله عليه و سلم is incomplete. It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه that our Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه و سلم stated: “By Him in whose hands my life is, none of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, children and entire mankind.”

[Saheeh al-Bukhari]

And Allah Ta’ala states:

“But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you judge in all disputes between them and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.”

[Surah an-Nisaa – 4:65]

To help us create this love of the Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم there will be a talk taking place. Details as follows:

As Salaamu Alaykum,

There are many things that can be said for the introduction of this blog. However, I just want to mention a few main points and reason as to why this blog has been made.

Although I have many other blogs, I felt that there should be one blog that combined most of the material that is present in my other blogs. As people may be aware, I had a blog discussing news and another discussing things I had heard or read, where another blog discussed Islamic Knowledge etc. Therefore, this is an effort to combine all those blogs into one as well as adding new areas of discussion.

Furthermore, it has always been my wish to have a joint blog so that people may benefit from the writings and contributions of more than one person. For some time I have trying to find someone to contribute to this blog and Alhumdulillah I have finally managed to convince sister Sajeda to join me on this blog.

I am convinced that her writings and knowledge will benefit me and all the readers on this blog and I hope that in the near future I can get some more contributors to this blog so that we can have a collection of different writings.

Insha Allah, over time I will try to bring over my articles and posts from a few of my other blogs and publish them onto this blog so that all the material and information can be found in one place.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Sister Sajeda for accepting to contribute to this blog, and a further thanks in advance for the work she will put it. Also to all the readers who have given us their support and encouragement through their previous comments.

I pray to Allah that He accepts our efforts and that He makes this a means of our salvation and forgiveness. Aameen.
